It shot to the top of the charts faster than you can say “OKURRRRR!” Now, the musical invasion of KSR Group/Atlantic performer Cardi B continues with a huge first week for her debut album, Invasion Of Privacy. Driven by a well-received performance on Saturday Night Live and an appearance co-hosting The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the set remains at #1 across Apple Music and iTunes, ranking on 95 iTunes affiliates at its peak. Songs from the effort truly invaded the charts at both services, though its results were more impressive at the former, where the entire top five (led by “Get Up 10” and “Bickenhead”) belonged to Cardi B during the album’s first day on the market. (“I Like It”, a collaboration with Bad Bunny and J Balvin, was the highest-charting cut at iTunes, ranking at #1 for a short period on Friday.) Currently, six of the top 20 U.S. songs on Spotify are from the set, led by “Like” (#8) and “Be Careful” (#9), while an additional cut gives Cardi B seven of the top 20 strongest performers on Shazam’s Future Hits, led by “Careful” (#4) and the Migos-assisted “Drip” (#5). With so many potential smashes making their mark, the hit nursery is about to get a whole lot bigger. (Images courtesy of The KSR Group and Atlantic Records / image credit: Jora Frantzis)
