In the month since it debuted, “Back To You”, the newest single from Interscope star Selena Gomez, continues to sport some solid holding power in the global market. Currently at over 61 million streams on Spotify, ranking at #9 and #22 on the Global and U.S. charts, respectively, Gomez remains one of the top female soloists at the platform. As the tune gains at several radio formats, tag data for “Back” is also impressive, as it currently stands at #2 and #12 on Shazam’s Future Hits and U.S. lists, respectively, with over 445,000 global tags to date. Now, a new music video for the song is poised to drive those statistics even higher. The clip is off to a nice start, as it breaks the top ten on YouTube’s Trending list with over seven million views in the past day. Its premiere has also spurred some good action at iTunes: combined with deep discounting, “Back” has climbed from just inside the top 20 to #7, just short of its #2 peak from the middle of May. At a global level, the song is still charting on 59 iTunes affiliates, with the U.S. ranking as one of 17 countries where it appears in the top ten. (Apple Music has yet to catch up with these results; on the U.S. chart, it currently sits at #80.) With the soundtrack to the latest season of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why on the downtrend, could we see a Gomez solo album soon? Keep watching...
