Why don’t we all share in a reactive new hit? Well, the guys of Atlantic’s Why Don’t We are down with that idea, as their new single, “Hooked”, scored some positive chart action shortly after it debuted last Thursday. In the U.S., the song hooked onto the #4 position at iTunes, but it also charted in nearly 60 iTunes affiliates worldwide, reaching the top ten in just over two dozen. Though these totals do pace behind those of their previous release, “Trust Fund Baby”, they are ahead of many of the act’s earlier records. The action continues on Spotify, where the hit is now at 1.895 million streams, aided by New Music Friday playlisting in over two dozen territories. It’s not in the top 50 on the U.S. or Global Viral charts currently, though that could always change if it’s added to any additional pop lists. On Apple Music, the song has found a home on prominent playlists like Best of the Week and Future Hits. The quintet is also benefitting from a high-action music video that debuted upon release, which, much like its single artwork, is inspired by classic comic book adventures and video games. So far, the clip sits at 2.62 million views and looks like it’ll be headed higher. Will these chart crusaders continue their fight for chart flight? Stay tuned...
