Can we talk? Don’t worry, we won’t keep you long. We just have the newest single by Signature Ent./Atlantic’s Why Don’t We, simply titled “Talk”, on repeat. The quintet’s new pop bop follows shortly after “Hooked”, which got as high as #4 on iTunes last month. However, “Talk” hit #1 in the U.S. upon release about a week ago, a fantastic achievement for the guys. Overall, the single entered the all-genre chart on iTunes in 59 countries, making the top ten in 22 and #1 in a dozen. Those results are slightly lower than the numbers from the debut of “Hooked”, which saw all-genre action in 61 countries and top ten rankings in 27, but fewer #1 (three of them) peaks. It also scored solid opening stats on YouTube, where a music video also debuted upon release, in at two million views since Saturday. On Spotify, “Talk” also cleared the two million mark in plays, thanks to strong New Music Friday and pop playlisting, including the cover of Singled Out. Apple Music has also been good to the single, appearing on playlists like Best of the Week and The A-List: Pop, among others, while Shazam is reporting over 7,200 tags on the song since it became available. If you’re in the mood for something different, these five men are sure to please!
