Forget about the itsy-bitsy spider climbing up the water spout... Darkroom/Interscope’s Billie Eilish has a big hit with a video that definitely isn’t for the arachnophobes of the world. “you should see me in a crown”, which debuted last Wednesday as a stand-alone single, is still doing well on most of the major services, as it continues toward the crown of the charts. Now at #42 on iTunes in the U.S., the song got as high as #28 recently, with over 50 countries reporting it on the all-genre chart at its peak. Eilish’s fans on Spotify saw an exclusive vertical video of her new one on the service’s Pop Rising playlist, and with the cover and lead spot on the latest New Music Friday update, the two influential lists continue to give “crown” a well-deserved boost. The track currently sits at #61 and #100 on the U.S. and Global charts, respectively, one of four titles for the performer in the former list’s top 200. Additionally, it enters at #9 on the Viral lists for both regions. The hit is also in the top 200 at Apple Music, has 3.5 million views for an audio-only clip on YouTube, in addition to another 750,000 views for a separate Vevo LIFT video, and comes in at 14,000 tags on Shazam with little U.S. airplay to date.
