No matter who or where you are, we all stan for our pop and rap queens of the world, even if we overuse the term more than we’d like to. Luckily, there’s a queen on the scene who’s conquered those worlds and continues to move the needle with huge collaborations that are scoring a lot of love from the public. Of course, we’re talking about YMCMB/Republic’s Nicki Minaj and her forthcoming Queen album, which is already responsible for hits like “Chun-Li” and the Ariana Grande-assisted “Bed”, currently at #58 on Shazam’s U.S. chart with more than 73 million streams on Spotify. Now, Minaj’s single with the controversial 6ix9ine has set its sights on the global charts, with “FEFE” (issued by TenThousand Projects) now ranking at #1 on Apple Music’s list, #3 on iTunes, and as the most-watched daily video on YouTube, with 42.7 million views since Sunday. Furthermore, the song appears at #2 and #9 on the U.S. and Global lists on Spotify, respectively, as reactive cuts “Ball For Me” with labelmate Post Malone (#42 U.S./#92 Global) and “Big Bank” with Def Jam’s YG (#44 U.S./#136 Global), not to mention “Bed” (#40 Global/#43 U.S.), grab a slice of the streaming pie.
