The friendly chart skies welcomed a pair of new singles from Fueled By Ramen duo Twenty One Pilots less than a month ago, as “Jumpsuit” and “Nico And The Niners” took the wheel and steered into the top ten on iTunes, the former going as high as #2. In fact, at Spotify, both of those singles now have a combined 42 million plays at the service, a total that continues to grow quickly. On Wednesday, a third tune off their upcoming album Trench took flight with very little notice, as “Levitate” reached the top ten (now at #10) on iTunes, while it attempts to top the Alternative survey and wing past current crossover hit “Natural” by KIDinaKORNER/Interscope’s Imagine Dragons. Around the world, the song made the all-genre chart in 33 countries, a smaller result than that of their two previous cuts from the project. Meanwhile, the music video for “Levitate”, the last in a trilogy for the current era, is already receiving positive reviews by fans and critics alike. After topping the Trending chart following its debut, the clip has received a total of 2.5 million views in a day, and the act’s collective music videos from the trilogy have passed a well-earned 36 million views since the middle of last month. As anticipation builds for what could be the duo’s biggest release so far, especially on the streaming side, the Pilots are on the move. (Images courtesy of Fueled By Ramen, LLC and Elektra Records)
