After dazzling this year’s MTV Video Music Awards with a pair of wins for Artist Of The Year and Video Of The Year for the Daddy Yankee-assisted song “Havana”, Syco/Epic superstar Camila Cabello is slaying the sales and streaming charts with multiple collaborations. It comes as no surprise, however, given the young performer’s huge year so far, including multiple Platinum (or higher) songs and her chart-topping solo album. As “Havana” re-emerges in the top 20 on iTunes here, three other Cabello hits appear near the bottom of the top 100 at the service: recent smash “Never Be The Same”, “Beautiful” (with Artist Partner/Atlantic artist Bazzi) and her latest release, the Swae Lee-assisted update of “Real Friends”. Though it’s just inside the top 100, after going as high as #69, it’s now charting in 67 countries globally and adds to the huge success of the original, which ranked in 94 countries. Elsewhere, the collaboration is at 2.4 million streams on Spotify, powered by New Music Friday and pop playlisting, and roughly 4,300 tags on Shazam, while the album version stands at 119 million streams and 356,000 tags, respectively. Will it reach the heights of “Havana” in the end? It could be a real challenge. (Images courtesy of Syco and Epic Records)
