If you thought YMCMB/Republic superstar Nicki Minaj was saying farewell to the music charts anytime soon, think again. Her Majesty is proving that the queendom will remain in power for an extended reign, due in part to her recent #2 album Queen and several reactive hits in the market. Of course, her viral tune “Barbie Dreams” remains strong on multiple services: the track has nearly 18 million streams on Spotify, remains in the top 20 (#19) at Apple Music and is just below 190,000 tags on Shazam, placing it at #18 on the U.S. chart. However, on Friday, two notable collaborations on which she appears were successfully launched, led by her #2 peak for a remix of “IDOL” by BigHit’s BTS on iTunes. At the service, the release entered the all-genre list in 96 territories and has more than seven million streams on Spotify, not to mention its 80,000 tags on Shazam. Minaj’s voice is also heard on the new hit by Warner Bros.’s Jason Derulo and What A Music/Big Beat/Atlantic’s David Guetta, “Goodbye”, peaking at #14 on iTunes, while ranking in 75 countries globally. It’s also totaled 3.8 million plays on Spotify and 2.6 million views on YouTube. As her additional collaborations with TenThousand Projects’s 6ix9ine and Def Jam’s YG stay active at radio and retail, Minaj keeps on ruling! (Images courtesy of Warner Bros.
