It’s been a bloody good era for Fueled By Ramen’s Twenty One Pilots this summer, as the duo gets closer to the release of their upcoming album Trench. On Monday, the pair’s newest single titled “My Blood” made its debut, and after being absorbed into the bloodstream, it appears that the test results are looking solid. On iTunes, the song reached #10 on the all-genre chart, making “My” the fourth consecutive song from the duo’s set to land in the region, following “Levitate”, “Nico And The Niners” and the most successful track to date, “Jumpsuit”, which got to #2. With no major playlisting just yet, their song has already earned over 1.14 million streams on Spotify, giving all four cuts (labeled as My Blood And A Few Other Songs From Trench) a sizable 66 million streams combined so far. As you’d probably expect, “Jumpsuit” and “Nino” are well ahead of the other two songs, both north of 29 million plays individually at the service. As of
Wednesday afternoon, a YouTube upload of “My”, currently in the top ten on the Trending chart, is already over 3.3 million views, with official or audio-only videos for all four tunes exceeding 57 million views on their channel. Finally, as the radio campaign for the single begins, it’s just south of 5,000 tags on Shazam, which will rise quickly. In short, new blood pumps out a winner.
