There’s a new product in town for that smooth and silky touch you desire. No, you can’t find it on the shelves of your local beauty and accessories store, but you can find it on the shelves at your favorite digital retailer. “Electricity” is the silky new song by Columbia’s Silk City, the act featuring Diplo and Mark Ronson, and Warner Bros.’s Dua Lipa. This tune marks the first collaboration between the two producers and the singer, and its debut about a week ago can only be classified as high voltage. Going as high as #8 on iTunes in the U.S., its global reach extended to 83 countries at the service, as it shocked the top ten in 60. The song is also well past 11 million streams on Spotify, with New Music Friday and pop playlists adding it in the mix upon release. After several days, the tune now stands at #15 and #28 on the Global and U.S. charts, respectively, well above its statistics at Apple Music, where it’s just inside the top 50 on the Global Top 100 and below the U.S. Top 100. A music video for the song, which made the Trending chart on YouTube, shines at more than 12.5 million views to date, while growing action at Shazam gives the track a jolt of over 62,000 tags.
