Ahead of her upcoming studio album, Norman F---ing Rockwell, Interscope star Lana Del Rey continues to intrigue the music world with her interesting titles. The newest release from the project, “Venice Bitch”, clocks in at nine minutes and 36 seconds, but that certainly isn’t stopping her fans from buying and streaming the tune. Reaching a high of #13 on iTunes here in the U.S., it also charted in 63 countries globally, making the top ten in 28. Those totals fall below the numbers registered by the previous single from the set, “Mariners Apartment Complex”, a #6 entry on iTunes that made the top ten in 44 of the 74 countries it charted in. Still, both reacted at several platforms, including Spotify and YouTube. At the former, “Mariners” currently sits at 5.53 million streams during the past week, while “Venice” has received over 567,000 plays so far, but that play total should rise following the usual Friday playlist updates. At the latter, “Mariners” has over four million views, while “Venice” is at 1.2 million views with a day of data. Those tracks are also finding some solid growth on Shazam, with “Mariners” ahead at more than 14,000 tags and “Venice” at over 1,200 tags. All in all, we think she knows how to rock the charts more than well. (Images courtesy of Interscope Records)
