The language known as Taki Taki isn’t spoken by much of the globe, but the new hit called “Taki Taki” is being talked about all over the planet. The new track, a collaboration by Geffen’s DJ Snake with Interscope’s Selena Gomez, VP/Sony Latin’s Ozuna and KSR Group/Atlantic’s Cardi B, is a smash in any language, climbing as high as #3 on iTunes in the U.S., while ranking in 98 countries globally. Furthermore, the hit topped the all-genre chart in 27 of those respective affiliates, a good start for the star-studded single. Elsewhere, it holds in the top 40 on Apple Music’s overall chart, now at #37, with notable playlists including Best of the Week, The A-List: Pop Latino and Today’s Hits. Additionally, “Taki” is earning strong numbers at Spotify, now at #1 and #11 on the Global and U.S. lists, respectively. Since Friday, the song has accumulated over 19.5 million plays at the service, led by larger playlisting on New Music Friday and Today’s Top Hits. Though a music video for the tune has not debuted yet, an audio-only clip for it has picked up a massive 22 million views so far, as it remains in the top 40 on the Trending list on YouTube. Fans have also been tagging the song on Shazam: now at 174,000 tags, “Taki” enters at #43 on the platform’s U.S. chart. We’ll be watching as the single slithers to the summit.
