If you’ve been following the ongoing social media adventures from YMCMB/Republic’s Nicki Minaj and KSR Group/Atlantic’s Cardi B, then your head is probably dizzy. Most of the drama has calmed down since the start of the week, but that doesn’t mean the drama on the charts has been affected. In fact, both performers are doing well with their new releases, as they try to claim the higher-charting hit on the larger sales and streaming services. Cardi B’s “Money” was pushed up to a Tuesday debut last week and continues its run in the top ten on iTunes. The single remains reactive on Shazam, now at #18 in the U.S. with 93,000 tags to date. It’s also still at #1 on Apple Music and #20 on Spotify’s U.S. list, clearing ten million streams at the latter. For Minaj, her feature on the new version of “Dip” from Last Kings/EMPIRE’s Tyga has also done some damage on the charts, going to #8 on iTunes and #1 on YouTube’s Trending list. On the latter platform, the song’s music video has earned over 5.5 million views since Monday, as it continues its ascent on the U.S. lists at Apple Music (#30) and Spotify (#174). With both titles on their way to even higher results, we hope everyone can get along for the sake of successful hits.
