Sometimes it takes one voice to change the future of a release… in the case of “Miss Me More”, the current country radio hit by Black River’s Kelsea Ballerini, that voice happens to be the television show called The Voice. Following her performance earlier this week, “Miss” jumped from outside the top 80 to #8 on the all-genre list on iTunes, tying its previous peak after her performance at the CMA Awards, while also topping the country survey at the service. While its global reach has been limited, only charting in 18 territories on iTunes to date, its U.S. appeal is still building, due in part to her appearance on the latest hit from Disruptor/Columbia’s The Chainsmokers titled “This Feeling”. Now at #51 on iTunes, the collaboration has a massive 98.2 million streams on Spotify, aided by notable pop and dance playlisting, and almost 404,000 tags on Shazam, up to #57 on the U.S. chart. By comparison, “Miss” has 13.1 million streams at the former and 47,000 tags at the latter, both solid in their own right. As she continues her run to the top of the radio list, we’re sure Ballerini’s voice will continue to impress wherever she charts.
