As “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart” continues to break across the globe, with more than 38 million streams on Spotify, 24 million views on YouTube and 530,000 tags on Shazam, another release from RCA’s Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus is here in time for the holidays. It’s a new version of the classic tune “(Happy Xmas) War Is Over”, originally performed by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Notably, their son Sean Ono Lennon appears on the cover in a featured role, and the song is performing well ahead of the big holiday. Peaking at #18 on iTunes in the U.S., the collaboration entered the all-genre chart in over 45 countries, with the majority of them reporting the single somewhere in the top 25. At Spotify, with the support of several New Music Friday lists, “Happy” is now approaching 1.9 million streams, while an audio-only clip and performance from Saturday Night Live have a combined two million views at YouTube. As both titles continue to soar, we think these two performers have really hit the Mark! (Images courtesy of RCA Records)
